Duplicating

Creating a copy of an element.

What is duplicating in Canva?

Duplicating in Canva refers to the process of creating an exact copy of an element, page, or an entire design within the Canva platform. This feature is particularly useful when you want to create multiple versions of a design or reuse certain elements across different pages or designs. It allows for consistency in design and saves time as you don't have to recreate the same element or design from scratch.

To duplicate an element or a page, you simply need to select it and then click on the "Duplicate" button. If you want to duplicate an entire design, you can do so from the "All your designs" page by clicking on the options button (three dots) on the design thumbnail and then selecting "Make a copy". The duplicated design, page, or element will then appear in your workspace or design list, ready for you to edit as needed.

Here, you will find the "File" option. Click on it and a drop-down menu will appear. From this menu, select the "Make a copy" option. This will create an exact duplicate of your design, which will then appear in your Canva dashboard. You can then edit and modify this duplicate design as you wish, without affecting the original design.

Can you duplicate pages in Canva?
