Features for managing member roles, permissions, and activities.

What is Member Management in Circle

Member Management in Circle is a feature that allows community managers or administrators to oversee and manage their community members effectively. This includes the ability to invite new members, remove or ban members, assign roles and permissions, and monitor member activity. It also allows for the segmentation of members into groups based on certain criteria, such as their level of engagement or their interests.

This feature is crucial in maintaining a healthy and active community as it helps in moderating content, ensuring that community guidelines are adhered to, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment. It also enables the administrators to identify and reward active and valuable members, thereby encouraging more participation and engagement within the community.

How to add or remove members in Circle?

Adding or removing members in the Circle is a straightforward process. To add members, you need to go to the 'Members' section in your admin dashboard. Here, you can invite new members by entering their email addresses. You can also set their roles, such as admin, moderator, or member, and assign them to specific spaces or groups. An invitation will be sent to their email, and they can join your community by clicking on the link in the email.

To remove members, you also need to go to the 'Members' section in your admin dashboard. Find the member you want to remove by searching their name or email in the search bar. Once you've found the member, click on their name to open their profile. Here, you'll see the option to 'Remove Member'. Click on it, and the member will be removed from your community. Please note that removing a member will delete all their posts, comments, and other contributions to the community.

How to manage member roles and permissions in Circle?

Managing member roles and permissions in Circle is a straightforward process. First, you need to navigate to the 'Admin' section, then click on 'Members'. Here, you can see a list of all the members in your community. You can assign roles to members by clicking on the 'Role' dropdown next to their name. There are four roles you can assign: Owner, Admin, Moderator, and Member. Each role has different permissions and access levels.

Owners have full access to all features and settings, including billing. Admins have access to most features and settings but cannot access billing. Moderators can manage content and members but cannot access settings. Members are the basic role and can only access content. To manage permissions, go to 'Settings', then 'Permissions'. Here, you can customize what each role can see and do. Remember to click 'Save' after making any changes.

How to track member activity and engagement in Circle?

Circle provides several ways to track member activity and engagement. One of the primary ways is through the use of analytics. The platform provides a comprehensive analytics dashboard that allows you to see the number of active members, the number of posts and comments made, and the number of likes and shares. This data can be broken down by day, week, or month, allowing you to track trends over time.

In addition to the analytics dashboard, Circle also provides a member directory that allows you to see individual member activity. You can see when a member last logged in, how many posts and comments they have made, and how many likes and shares they have received. This can be useful for identifying your most active and engaged members. Furthermore, Circle also allows you to set up email notifications for new posts and comments, so you can stay up-to-date with the latest activity in your community.
