What is a caption in ScreenFlow?

A caption in ScreenFlow is a text feature that allows users to add written descriptions or transcriptions of the audio or video content on the screen. This feature is particularly useful for making content more accessible to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. It can also be beneficial for viewers who prefer to read along with the audio or who may not be able to listen to the audio due to their current environment.

In ScreenFlow, captions can be added manually or imported from a file. The software supports different caption formats such as SRT and SCC. Users can customize the appearance of the captions, including the font, size, color, and position. Additionally, ScreenFlow allows users to export their videos with embedded captions, making it easier to share accessible content.
