What is a password reset in Substack?

A password reset in Substack is a process that allows users to change their current password, usually because they have forgotten it or for security reasons. When a user requests a password reset, Substack sends an email to the user's registered email address. This email contains a link that, when clicked, directs the user to a secure page where they can create a new password.

This process is designed to protect user accounts from unauthorized access. It's important to note that Substack staff will never ask for your password, and any such requests should be reported. Users are also advised to create strong, unique passwords and change them regularly to further enhance the security of their accounts.
